How does Cryotherapy work?

America Cryo’s Subzero handheld works by delivering short

bursts of -110F carbon dioxide that drops skin temperature 59

degrees in 30 seconds, initiating a process called thermal shock. Subzero is one of the most effective cryotherapy solutions for your rehabilitation needs. It enables you to treat injured body parts quickly, safely and effectively - all while using your body’s own natural healing processes to amazing effect!

Orthopedics

Orthopedics & Sports recovery and readiness

Cryotherapy has many benefits including quick pain relief and reduction of swelling and inflammation. These treatments reduce pain and inflammation, and helps athletes get back in the game. This can be a stand-alone treatment or used in conjunction with your massage therapy session. Benefits of cryotherapy include;

• Muscle Relaxant • Anti-Inflammatory • Analgesic • Vasomotor

Aesthetics

Bodysculpting (cryoslimming) for stubborn fat

When used on problem areas, the sudden drop in skin temperature induces cryolipolysis, or destruction of fat cells. Over time, the body removes those cells. The process also cosmetically tightens the skin.

Cryofacials (Frotox)

Diffused through a cone, the same ultra-cold CO2 turns

into a soothing, soft frozen mist that relaxes muscles in the

face, produces a rosy glow and cosmetically tightens skin.

It’s also thought to stimulate production of collagen over time,

further firming the skin.

Contraindications

Impaired sensation, impaired circulation, hypersensitivity to cold, allergic reactions (urticaria), severe hypertension, wounds, pregnancy, arrhythmia, pacemaker, active cancer, infection, bleeding disorders, acute kidney disease, acute cardiac disease.

How does Cryosculpting work?

● The treatments are powered by cryolipolysis – a medical treatment

used to destroy fat cells by freezing within the temperature range of

24 to 41 degrees Fahrenheit. The cold treatment causes apoptosis, or

cell death, of subcutaneous fat tissues.

● Results can be seen immediately, although the injured fat cells are

gradually eliminated by the body as the cells breakdown. This can

take up to 72 hours post-treatment. Following a full course of

treatment, cells will continue to breakdown up to 4 to 6 weeks.

● Massage, particularly lymphatic drainage, after treatment can

significantly improve results seen.

Aesthetic Indications:

● Fat Reduction

● Skin Tightening

● Reducing Wrinkles and Fine Lines

● Redefine Jawline

● Improving general mood, energy, and promoting relaxation

Pre-Treatment

● Avoid alcohol.

Post-Treatment

● Drink a lot of water after treatment. This helps the lymphatic system

to eliminate destroyed fat cells quicker.

● There is no downtime or recovery period after treatment

● You should maintain a proper diet, exercise, and hydration for

optimal results

● Lymphatic drainage massage after treatment can significantly

improve results seen.

● Clients with larger body mass or higher fat content may require

longer treatment times.

What To Expect:

We have partnered with  ANDI International to bring Supplemental Oxygen to our Wellness Center.

*Breathing supplemental oxygen as a stand alone treatment or during your treatment offers a deeper state of relaxation.

Combine with Aroma therapy for a full relaxation experience. When combined with oxygen, the aroma therapy experienced is enhanced by restoring your sense of calm and enhancing your relaxation.

*Each session lasts a minimum of 20 minutes to receive the benefits of breathing supplemental oxygen.  A cannula is a flexible tube that is placed over the ears and splits into two small soft prongs that fit loosely in the nostrils to deliver the oxygen with/without aroma. Once switched on you breathe normally but more relaxed.

*The cost of each session is $1 per minute. There is an initial purchase of $7 for your nasal cannula. Your cannula may be used multiple times, as air is being forced through into your nostrils and not being recycled back into the cannula.

Active Military, First Responders & Veterans receive $5 OFF each session
